The incident took place during the night of 14–15 July. The 27-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol, entered the premises of one of the companies in Jelenia Góra. He wanted to talk to his ex-girlfriend’s new partner. The man refused. The drunk 27-year-old then vented his anger on his rival’s car: he smashed the windows, damaged the headlights and mirrors, and damaged the dashboard. (The injured party estimated the losses at at least PLN 1,000.)
The vandal told the officers that he had wrecked his rival’s car out of jealousy over a woman. The 27-year-old now faces up to five years in prison.
