The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 18, on Karola Miarki Street in Bolesławiec. At approximately 5:40 a.m., two cars collided: a Volvo driven by a 58-year-old resident of Gromadka municipality and an Opel driven by a 37-year-old woman from Bolesławiec. (The Opel hit the back of the Volvo.)
The driver from Gromadka municipality was injured. He was taken to hospital with a spinal injury.
Police are determining the cause of the accident. At this point, it cannot be established who was responsible for the incident. Both parties gave officers completely different accounts of what happened.
