Between 14 and 16 July, officers from the Lubin District Police Headquarters arrested seven people who had been driving cars while drunk. The record-holder was a 34-year-old resident of Rudna Municipality, who had nearly 3‰ of alcohol in his system. Another intoxicated driver, a 32-year-old man from Lubin, did not have a driving licence at all.
Police remind the public that, under the applicable regulations, drunk drivers face up to two years in prison, a fine of PLN 5,000 and a driving ban of up to 10 years.
