Police officers patrolling Pieńsk noticed a passenger car with German registration plates. The officers decided to stop its driver for a check. However, he did not stop; on the contrary, he accelerated and began to flee.
The officers pursued the suspect. A police roadblock was set up, and near Żarska Wieś the driver was forced to stop the car.
However, the chase was not over. The man jumped out of the car and tried to escape on foot. He was arrested after several dozen metres.
The reasons for the 47-year-old's behaviour quickly came to light. In the vehicle, the officers found bags containing methamphetamine and ecstasy—more than 140 doses. Moreover, the driver was also under the influence of drugs.
The 47-year-old now faces up to five years in prison.
