Recently, Lubin police received a report of a theft at one of the stores. At the time, the unknown perpetrator stole perfume worth nearly PLN 400. When a security guard tried to stop the thief, he assaulted him and fled.
After analysing the perpetrator’s modus operandi, officers worked out who he might be. The 34-year-old Lubin resident was detained and taken into police custody.
The man had repeatedly come into conflict with the law. Every time he stole something from a store and someone tried to stop him, the thief did everything he could to escape. On one occasion, he threatened a security guard with a knife.
At the prosecutor’s office’s request, the serial thief was remanded in custody for three months. The 34-year-old faces up to twelve years in prison.
