The incident took place on Monday, June 19, in Iwiny (Warta Bolesławiecka municipality). The 27-year-old car driver, while leaving a supermarket car park, drove onto the pavement, hit a pedestrian and then fled the scene.
Fortunately, the pedestrian did not suffer any serious injuries. The 27-year-old perpetrator, a resident of Złotoryja County, was detained. The man will answer for his actions in court. He faces a fine and a driving ban of up to three years.
