Monika Grzyb’s students collected batteries outside the competition organized by the Municipal Centre for Environmental Education (MCEE) and the Bolesławiec City Hall. Katarzyna Graczyk visited the class to offer special thanks for the respect they had shown for nature and our planet. The children received acknowledgements for improving the condition of our environment.

“I know this is thanks to you, but also to your parents and friends who collected batteries with you,” said the head of MCEE. “Now all the batteries have been handed over for recycling, and our city will be cleaner.”

This year’s “There’s a Way to Deal with Batteries Too” competition involved 11 preschool groups and 44 classes, a total of 1,714 people. The children collected almost 4 tonnes of used batteries, which were handed over for recycling through the Municipal Communal Services Company Ltd. in Bolesławiec.
