On Monday, 3 July, Polish-German vocal workshops will begin at BOK-MCC as part of the project “Culture Without Borders – Renovation of the Amphitheatre in the Municipal Park in Bolesławiec and the Open-Air Stage “Weinau” in Zittau”.

The week-long classes will provide the musical foundation for two final concerts: on 8 July in Bolesławiec and on 9 July in Zittau. Twenty people from Poland and Germany will take part in the workshops. At the final concerts, the young artists will be accompanied by an outstanding trio of musicians: Jan Sawiński (piano), Marcin Gromnicki (bass) and Karol Pietsch (drums).

Final concerts:

  • 8 July, 19:00, amphitheatre in the Municipal Park on Tyrankiewiczów Street
  • 9 July, 16:00, “Weinau” open-air stage in Zittau

Admission to the concerts is free.

Instructors:
Kasia Wilk, one of the 50 best Polish female vocalists according to “Machina” magazine. With the song “Do kiedy jestem”, she won the Polish final of the 46th Sopot Festival. She has worked with many artists, and one result of such collaboration is the hit “Sacrum”, which she performs together with Mezo and Tabbe.

Marta Podulka, singer and composer associated with the Poznań-based band 7sekund. In 2001, she appeared on the programme “Mam talent” (third place), and in 2013/14 she performed, among other events, at the 50th Festival of Polish Song in Opole as part of the SuperDebiuty concert and at the TOPtrendy festival.

The project entitled “Culture Without Borders – Renovation of the Amphitheatre in the Municipal Park in Bolesławiec and the Open-Air Stage “Weinau” in Zittau” is being implemented as part of the INTERREG Poland–Saxony 2014–2020 Cooperation Programme.
