The arrest took place in the village of Porajów (Bogatynia municipality). Police officers, together with officers from the Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław, stopped the driver of a Škoda passenger car for inspection. He turned out to be a 40-year-old Czech citizen. Almost 1.4 kilograms of tablets were found in his car; they contained a chemical compound used to produce drugs.

The detainee explained that the tablets had come from one of the pharmacies in Bogatynia. They were intended to be taken abroad.

The 40-year-old was immediately arrested and taken to police custody. He could face up to 5 years in prison.
