A resident who noticed an illegal dump in the forest between Bolesławiec and Mierzwin (Bolesławiec municipality) reported it to the Forest Guard. The officers checked the report and contacted the owner of the company that had turned the site into its own dumping ground.
Since it was the company of a Polish man living in Belgium, the officers offered to have the waste cleared at his expense. (It cost the entrepreneur several hundred złoty.)
That is not the end of it, either. The man also faces a fine of up to PLN 5,000.
