The incident occurred on May 30, at around 5:00 p.m., near the Szwajcarka mountain shelter in the Sokolik Mountains (Rudawski Landscape Park). Police officers were carrying out official duties there. At one point, tourists asked them to help their colleague, who was lying on the ground. The 30-year-old suddenly fainted. He fell from a bench, hitting his head on the ground. He lost consciousness. The officers began resuscitation and alerted the emergency medical services.

“Thanks to the immediate actions taken by the police officers, the man regained vital functions, and when the paramedics arrived, he was already responsive,” says Deputy Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, spokesperson for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. “In the evening, after undergoing examinations, the 30-year-old returned to the guesthouse where he was staying.
