Attention! A child has gone missing! Lubin police officers found a missing child in a shopping centre! Fortunately, it was only an organized action. In this way, the police wanted to draw attention to the approaching observance of International Missing Children's Day. During the action, children from Municipal Preschool No. 7 in Lubin received safety wristbands.
A guardian's phone number can be written on the wristband, which is why it is very useful in situations like these. “We appeal to everyone to pay attention and remain vigilant, especially during the holiday period, when it is easiest to lose sight of our child,” say the officers. “Let us also remember never to frighten a child with a police officer, because it may happen that the child will be afraid to approach one and ask for help.
The initiative was organized with the support of the KGHM Polska Miedź Foundation, which funded the wristbands.
