The tragedy occurred on the night of 20–21 May by the railway track near the PKP station in Zebrzydowa (Nowogrodziec municipality). Thanks to CCTV footage, it is known how the incident unfolded: a resident of Legnica County—for reasons not yet established—climbed a pole and was most likely electrocuted by the traction network, after which he fell from a height. His body was found several hours later.
The case is being investigated by the prosecutor’s office in Bolesławiec. Investigators have ruled out the involvement of third parties.
