A 39-year-old resident of Lubin suspected of burglary and theft has been taken into police custody. The man is well known to the Lubin police. This year alone, he has been detained repeatedly for this type of crime. He has made this practice a permanent source of income. The losses amount to thousands of złotys.
Several days ago, the 39-year-old broke into an e-cigarette shop in one of the shopping centres. Even earlier, in broad daylight, he carried goods worth more than 2,000 złotys out of a shop.
The man’s modus operandi was always the same: he mainly stole items that could be quickly sold (cleaning products, cosmetics, etc.).
The serial thief now faces up to 10 years in prison.
