On Wednesday, 10 May, the final of the “I Learn to Live Safely” safety competition for children and young people was held. The team from Primary School No. 2—Olga Bajer, Barek Arsiuta and Jakub Orłowski—came third, and was in no way inferior to the teams that took first and second places. This year, the children also improved their position in the semi-finals in Jelenia Góra, moving from third place to second.

The team travelled to Wrocław full of hope that it would achieve a better result than the previous year, and the children’s dreams came true. This is a significant achievement, and the children’s enthusiasm is admirable. Their teacher Teresa Góra made a major contribution to the success: she prepared the children for the competition and managed to motivate them to master such a large amount of material. Above all, Teresa instilled self-belief in the children and managed to maintain their enthusiasm.

The help of the parents, who supported the teacher and the team, must also be acknowledged, as must that of director Irena Sikora-Kołodyńska, the deputy director of the Municipal School Complex No. 3, Gerresheimer Bolesławiec S.A., the Municipal Office, the rescuers and teacher Małgosi Oleś, who supported Teresa.
