The incident occurred on May 2 by the Bóbr River in Bolesławiec. Paweł Czulak was the first to notice a small boy, not yet 10 years old, being swept away by the river. It happened just beyond the viaduct. The child was struggling in the water.

“I admit that I panicked a little,” says Paweł Czulak. “The water covered the boy once, but fortunately he resurfaced.”

“I took off my shoes and quickly ran into the water. I didn’t think much,” said Paweł Rychlicki.

The young men quickly rescued the boy. It ended with a great deal of fright. The boy was under his parents’ care.

Congratulations on their attitude. Heroes!
