The beginning of the match was very even. Neither TOP nor the visitors from Szczecin gained a clear advantage. This raised the hopes of Bolesławiec fans that they would finally manage to win the match.

During the first set, neither team managed to gain an advantage of more than 3 points. TOP made the better start and at one point led 6:3. Towards the end of the set, the visitors took the lead. With Bałtyk leading 24:21, the Bolesławiec team’s coach called a timeout. Unfortunately, the first set ended with TOP losing 23:25.

The situation repeated itself in the second set. Neither team established a decisive advantage. At the beginning, TOP pulled two or three points ahead of Bałtyk. The visitors equalized, then took a slight lead. However, TOP proved to be the team making fewer errors in this set. The Bałtyk players struggled to serve correctly. As a result, they gave away a considerable number of points practically without a fight. With TOP leading 22:20, the Bałtyk coach called a timeout. This did not change the final outcome of the second set, however, as the Bolesławiec players proved better, winning 26:24. This brought the score level at 1:1 in sets.

Unfortunately, the third and fourth sets looked like a sudden awakening by the team from Szczecin. Our players made many errors when setting up plays. The ball was repeatedly set in such a way that the players had no opportunity to attack the visitors’ court effectively. They had to resort to giving the ball back “for free.” As time passed, the visitors’ advantage became very clear. Towards the end of the third set, TOP were losing 17:24 and ultimately lost the entire set 18:25. The match score changed from a tie to a 2:1 lead for Bałtyk Morza Szczecin.

The final set was a convincing victory for the visitors. The Bolesławiec team failed to score more than 11 points in it. After making many errors, TOP lost the fourth set 11:25 and the entire match 1:3.
