The Lubań District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation against 43-year-old Vienna resident Daniel L., whom the prosecutor charged on 16 April with murdering his sister – Dorota T.
The incident occurred on 15 April at the victim’s home in Biedrzychowice. Acting with the intention of taking her life, the brother struck his sister on the head and other parts of her body with the wooden part of a chair. The woman died as a result of her injuries.
Questioned as a suspect, L. confessed to the crime. He gave an explanation, although to a considerable extent he claimed not to remember. By decision of the Lubań court, the man was placed in temporary detention for three months. The decision is not final.
The 43-year-old suspect could face life imprisonment. Further evidentiary proceedings are under way in the case.
