From 14 to 17 April, 11 collisions occurred on the roads of Zgorzelec County. Police officers also caught 4 drivers exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h, arrested a drunk driver and a man who got behind the wheel without a driving licence.
“We appeal for safe driving and compliance with road traffic regulations. Drivers, ease off the accelerator,” say the Zgorzelec officers. “Keep a safe distance between vehicles. Remember that recklessness, lack of imagination, excessive speed and alcohol are the most common causes of road incidents.”
