The suspect Jacek P., a 39-year-old resident of Lubin, was detained by officers of the Provincial Police Headquarters on April 11. The prosecutor charged him with the murder of Tomasz G. (P. allegedly inflicted nine wounds on his victim). As a result of his injuries, the attacked man died.
The detection of the perpetrator and the bringing of charges against him were made possible by forensic examinations of evidence discovered at the scene and on the victim’s clothing.
Questioned as a suspect, Jacek P. did not admit to committing the alleged offense. He claimed that he was defending himself against Tomasz G.
On April 13, P. was remanded in custody for three months. The investigation is ongoing. The suspect could face life imprisonment.
