The incident occurred on April 15. Thanks to a phone call from one of the residents, Chojnów police officers caught red-handed a man suspected of damaging the bodywork of a Renault vehicle. The 57-year-old vandal kicked the car, smashing two mirrors and damaging parts of the bodywork. The damage he caused was estimated at one thousand złotys.
The man was taken into police custody. At the time of his arrest, he was completely drunk. He had more than 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. When he sobered up, he was charged. He admitted guilt.
The 57-year-old resident of Chojnów now faces up to 5 years in prison.
