The Szczecin-based band Deus Meus is currently celebrating its tenth anniversary. The concert held at the Forum hall was the third of the ten planned performances. The concerts are being organized in various Polish cities to mark the band’s anniversary.
The Deus Meus anniversary was certainly celebrated by the Bolesławiec audience. More than half a thousand people enjoyed the concert. It turned out that the joyful, uncomplicated music and equally simple lyrics have many enthusiasts. The audience eagerly sang along with the artists and spontaneously joined in the fun. The appearance of Mieczysław Szcześniak on stage prompted applause. The gospel songs in Polish were well received and convincing; moreover, people of different ages enjoyed them—the older audience and young people alike. After the concert, the audience insisted that the artists perform encores, rewarding them with thunderous applause. At the end, the residents of Bolesławiec sang the birthday song “Sto lat” to the band.
The Bolesławiec band On tak chciał performed as the support act before Deus Meus. The group performed several songs from its debut album, including “Ja kocham Ciebie” and “Gdy w ciemnościach”.
