The first official Polish Championships for Local Government Officials in Sport Bridge were held from October 23 to 26. Nearly 100 officials from across Poland competed at the Prnjavor motel. The tournament was won by Deputy Chairman of the County Council Jarosław Molenda, who claimed the title of Polish Champion for Local Government Officials in Sport Bridge.
Other Bolesławiec residents also finished in the top ten: Sławomir Zimniak (4th place) and Antoni Ochot (8th place), whose team won the gold medal in the team classification.
Representatives of the Polish Bridge Association present at the competition (Stanisław Gołębiowski, Rudolf Borusiewicz and Włodzimierz Andrejew) decided that next year’s championships would once again be held in Bolesławiec.
The competition was organized by: the Association of Polish Counties, the Association of Polish Cities, Bolesławiec County, the Municipality of Bolesławiec and the Bolesławiec Bridge Club.
