After a very good performance by both teams, the KK StarBol Bolesławiec players lost 71–86 at home to the league leaders in the senior third division, NGR Technologie AWF Gorzów Wielkopolski (15:27, 25:13, 22:18, 9:28). The visiting team came to Bolesławiec seeking a convincing victory. Indeed, the first quarter was dominated by the Gorzów team. In the 3rd minute, the visitors were already leading 6–2 and quickly extended their advantage. Only during the final four minutes of the opening period did the Bolesławiec players begin to challenge their opponents. After the first quarter, our players were trailing 15–27.

Until the middle of the second quarter, the teams traded baskets. Then came an unexpected turn of events. The StarBol players quickly erased a 14-point deficit. Both teams went into halftime tied at 40–40. Zbigniew Owczarek, Paweł Minciel and Wojciech Klimek scored the points for our team.

In the third period, the lead changed hands repeatedly. In the closing stages, Dariusz Dzierżyc scored 6 points for StarBol, setting the quarter score at 22–18. Ten minutes before the end of the game, the league leaders were trailing 58–62.

Our team remained in the lead until the 3rd minute of the final quarter. After committing an offensive foul, Bolesławiec’s tallest player, Paweł Minciel, had to leave the court. From that moment on, StarBol’s play changed completely. The Gorzów players scored 15 consecutive points and took a commanding 81–66 lead. The StarBol players lost the final quarter 9–28 and the entire game 71–86.

After the disastrous game in Sława, StarBol played a very good match. This was particularly evident in the second and third quarters. “If we improve our play further, we can make quite an impact in the league. You can see progress in our game, and that is what matters,” Zbigniew Owczarek of StarBol said after the game.
