For the first time in a two-day format and with 100 percent attendance, the “Tango Milonga – Polish-Czech dance workshops” project began on March 18 and 19. Fifty people took part in the workshops (20 from the Czech Republic and 30 from Poland). As is customary at this type of gathering, an evening milonga was held, attended by more than 60 people. For the first time, the milonga took place in the lobby of the Forum cinema, and it can safely be said that the venue appealed to the project participants. The first meeting of this edition was also exceptional for another reason—for the first time during the workshops and milonga, one of the couples danced as a trio! This is probably the best example of how tango brings generations together.

The opening classes of the new Polish-Czech project were led by one of Poland’s best Argentine tango couples: Agnieszka Stach and Tymoteusz Ley from Kraków. This time, the project was expanded by an additional day, and classes were held in a two-day format for the first time (classes in two groups on Saturday and Sunday).

The next project meeting is scheduled for April 22 and 23, and Agnieszka Stach and Tymoteusz Ley will lead it again.

The “Tango Milonga – Polish-Czech dance workshops” project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and by state budget funds via the Nysa Euroregion.
