This is how an elderly man in one of the villages near Bolesławiec was nearly scammed. The men offered a price of 150 PLN, but once they had completed the work, they demanded more than 2,000 PLN. Fortunately, in this case, the elderly man’s family intervened and did not let him be cheated. The family called the police about the matter and now wants to warn others about the scammers.
Beware of Scammers Offering to Replace Gutters
A reader informed us about the matter. Men travelling in a van seek out elderly people and offer to replace their gutters for a small fee. After completing the work, the price increases several times over.
