Maria Skłodowska-Curie is a lavish international co-production about the life of the famous Polish Nobel laureate. It is the story of an extraordinary woman who did not hesitate to follow her heart and who, thanks to her intelligence, knowledge and outstanding abilities, managed to convince the world of science—always dominated by men—to accept her. It is also a unique journey through time to turn-of-the-century Paris, a city of art and discoveries that changed the world. The title role is played by Karolina Gruszka. Her co-stars include Iza Kuna as Bronisława Skłodowska, the Nobel laureate’s sister; Piotr Głowacki as Albert Einstein; Jan Frycz as Ernest Solvay, founder of the International Institute of Physics; and Daniel Olbrychski as Emile Amagat, Maria’s ardent opponent.
