After more than fifty years of service and 37 years spent in the parish in Bolesławiec, dean Władysław Rączka is retiring. The farewell Mass was attended by the Bishop of Legnica, priests from neighboring parishes and city residents.
During the ceremony, Rev. Prelate was thanked for his work on behalf of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas. During the Mass, the church was elevated to the status of a sanctuary, and Rev. Władysław Rączka was awarded the title of Honorary Parish Priest and Custodian of the Sanctuary. Tomorrow morning, the distinguished parish priest will leave for Legnica, for the Home for Retired Priests.
