County Head Karol Stasik asked Alicja Krzyszczak, head of the Education, Culture and Sport Department of the County Office, during a County Council session whether the County could seek to have programming taught in secondary schools. “Programmers earn a great deal, but there are not enough of them,” K. Stasik stressed.
The department head replied that employers and employers’ organizations would have to pursue this, but that a pedagogical innovation would certainly be possible. She also said that it would be possible to introduce elements of programming into classes at the Electronic Schools Complex. “That can always be done,” Alicja Krzyszczak noted. She added: “We are waiting for the core curricula; we will see what they contain.”
Would such a class be useful? We invite you to join the discussion.
