Around 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after being hit by a Renault passenger car. The incident occurred on 16 February, on the road from Otok to Kraszowice. Firefighters, an ambulance crew and police were at the scene. Police are establishing the cause of the collision.

The 63-year-old Renault driver, a resident of Bolesławiec County, was travelling towards Otok. Preliminary police findings indicate that, at the time of the collision, the pedestrian, a 41-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality, was on the road rather than on the roadside. Moreover, he was wearing dark clothing and had no reflective elements.
The injured man is in critical condition. Blood was taken from him for testing. The passenger car driver was sober.
