Anna Olech, a resident of Lwówek Śląski, has been diagnosed by doctors with malignant cancer of the joints. Anna, a mother raising two sons on her own, is fighting to regain her health. Her chance is treatment at a German clinic, for which she needs approximately PLN 30,000.
It all started with an aching arm; later, I was treated for anemia. In June, my axillary lymph nodes became enlarged, and I was referred for a biopsy. The histopathological examination showed that it was synovial sarcoma, a malignant cancer of the joints, says Ms Anna Olech. My first thought was: what will happen to my children? I have two wonderful sons. Szymon is 13 and Bartosz is 10. The boys lost their father 10 years ago, and now I am ill, she adds, worried.

Volunteer firefighters from OSP KRSG in Lubomierz have joined the campaign to help Ania. The firefighters organized a collection among themselves, with the money to be paid into the account of the ALIVIA Foundation for Young People with Cancer. In addition, during Sunday’s Night Tour of the Church and Monastery in Lubomierz, they will sell donation bricks, with the proceeds also going to Ania Olech’s account. People who join the effort will be able to see recently discovered treasures: a collection of more than 300 relics of saints, remains of a Gothic church, a cloister chapel once accessible exclusively to the nuns, and cloisters. After the tour, the OSP Lubomierz firefighters invite everyone to a barbecue and delicious sausage. More information can be found on the lwowecki.info
