The Bolesławiec police duty officer received information about a road accident involving a wild animal. Community police officers from the station in Warta Bolesławiecka went to the scene. The driver told the officers that a roe deer had jumped out of the forest directly onto the road and had been struck by the side of the vehicle. The man indicated the direction in which the injured animal had run away.
Following its tracks, the police officers spotted the injured roe deer thrashing about in the bushes. They immediately provided assistance and then called the Klekusiowo Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, where the injured animal received specialist care.
