Officers from the Jelenia Góra traffic police stopped a 62-year-old resident of Wrocław who had caused a serious danger on the road. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 25 January, in the morning. On Sobieskiego Street in Jelenia Góra, police officers noticed a VW Passat whose driver was overtaking before a pedestrian crossing, drove straight from the left-turn lane and kept accelerating the entire time. He was driving towards Szklarska Poręba.

Where the speed limit was 50 km/h, the Wrocław resident was speeding at 120 km/h. What is more, he overtook on a double solid line and at an intersection, forcing other drivers to brake sharply.

The police stopped the driver for a roadside check. The road pirate lost his driving licence. He will also face court for his actions. The 62-year-old committed so many road offences that he should receive… 42 penalty points.
