The Voivodeship Board approved the list of projects that will receive funding for investments in primary and lower-secondary education in Lower Silesia. As part of the competition just concluded, as much as PLN 37 million from the European Regional Development Fund was available. EU funding will go to 34 projects. Nearly PLN 2 million was awarded to the Bolesławiec municipality, which plans to modernize digital laboratories in nine schools.
“We are consistently raising educational standards in our region. In three of the five areas in which applications were submitted, we managed to distribute all available funds. A total of 34 applicants will receive EU funding,” summarizes Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The largest grant will go to a project submitted by Lubin County. It involves moving the Special Educational Center in Szklary Górne to buildings formerly occupied by the dissolved Vocational and General Education School Complex in Lubin. The project’s total value is over PLN 8.5 million, while EU funding will amount to approximately PLN 5.5 million.
