Police officers from Kowary detained a 27-year-old resident of the town suspected of theft and burglary. At the end of July last year, the man robbed his mother. A bank card was among his loot. The son knew the PIN, so he withdrew cash from his mother’s account and paid twice for purchases using the stolen card.
The victim estimated her losses at more than PLN 2,000. The 27-year-old was detained. From the moment of the theft, he had been hiding from the officers in various places. He now faces up to 10 years behind bars.
