Cohen’s songs will be performed by Elżbieta Dębska, an actress, composer and singer. This will be her next performance for the Legnica audience. Previously, at the Witelon State University of Applied Sciences, she performed, among others, songs by Janis Joplin, Maciej Zembaty and Leonard Cohen.

Elżbieta Dębska graduated from the Theatre Academy in Wrocław. During her studies, she worked at the Wrocław Opera, with which she toured Italy, singing arias from Verdi’s operas. She acted in many films and also co-created music for them. She collaborated with directors including Jan Jakub Kolski, Janusz Kondratiuk and Krzysztof Zanussi.

She performs concerts in which contact with the audience has become the most important element. For several years, she collaborated with Maciej Zembaty, singing Leonard Cohen’s ballads. Together, they recorded several albums and played hundreds of concerts throughout Poland. The artist regularly performs in Poland and abroad, but regardless of the language in which she sings, she moves audiences, and her performances are always accompanied by a warm atmosphere.

In November 2012, her live album “Kochałam cię dziś rano/I loved you in the Morning” was released. It consists of ballads by Leonard Cohen and Janis Joplin, as well as original songs.
