Officers from the Department for Combating Crimes Against Life and Health of the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters established that significant quantities of drugs might be stored in one of the apartments in Legnica. The evidence collected allowed the prosecutor’s office to issue an order to search the apartment of a 31-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman. The information obtained by the officers was confirmed. The officers seized over 4,000 doses of narcotic substances. A preliminary examination showed that they were methamphetamine. The drugs were hidden in clothing cabinets.
What is more, the officers established that the couple suspected of drug dealing had made it a regular source of income. At the prosecutor’s office’s request, the court temporarily detained the 31-year-old for two months. The woman was placed under police supervision.
Both detainees face up to 12 years in prison.
