Officers from the Criminal Division of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra identified and arrested a 19-year-old man suspected of theft. From November to December last year, the young man committed at least four crimes: three shoplifting offenses (he stole toys and fireworks on two occasions), as well as the theft of a backpack containing documents, a payment card and money. (The suspect used the stolen card to make contactless payments for purchases nine times.)
The teenager was arrested. Police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail and identifying additional victims. The detained man faces up to five years in prison.
