Officers from the Property Crime Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica arrested a 36-year-old man wanted on an arrest warrant and suspected of numerous property crimes. The suspect has committed at least eight offenses. Between December 2016 and January 2017, he stole two mobile phones and documents from an apartment belonging to friends he had stayed with for some time.

Moreover, the man broke into a furniture store, from which he stole travel vouchers. At one service outlet, he snatched a pouch containing documents and a considerable amount of money from a victim. Officers recovered some of the stolen property.

In addition, Legnica police officers proved that the suspect had committed a series of economic crimes over the past two years. Using stolen documents, the man fraudulently obtained loans from bank branches in Legnica and also persuaded other people to take part in the scheme.

The 36-year-old resident of Legnica is a repeat offender; he has been convicted many times of property crimes. What is more, he was wanted on an arrest warrant. He could now be sentenced to as many as 12 years behind bars.
