Under the regulations on maintaining cleanliness and order in the city of Bolesławiec:
Property owners are responsible for removing mud, snow, ice and other contamination from parts of their properties intended for public use by collecting it in places where it does not impede pedestrian traffic or pose a risk to pedestrians, vehicles or existing greenery, while ensuring that meltwater can drain into the stormwater sewer system.
This means that when clearing a pavement, snow must not be swept onto the roadway. Failure to comply with these obligations may result in a municipal police officer imposing a fine of up to PLN 500.
