Police received a report that a cash box containing money had been stolen at the Lubin ice rink. It contained over PLN 2,500. The crime was committed by a former ice rink employee. The woman first lied to her colleague (saying that she still worked there), and then took the cash box, explaining that she had to settle accounts with the management. However, instead of going to the office, she took a taxi home, paying for the ride with the stolen money.

Shortly after the incident, police officers arrived at her apartment. The officers recovered nearly the entire amount. (The woman had thrown away the cash box.) The 22-year-old woman from Lubin now faces up to five years in prison.
