Theses defended in the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 academic years may be submitted for the 10th edition of the competition. Theses that participated in previous editions may not be submitted again. Each higher-education institution may submit any number of master’s or doctoral theses that the dean of the relevant faculty considers creative, innovative and worthy of wide dissemination. However, one supervisor may submit only one thesis.

Theses must be delivered to Bolesławiec City Hall (Ratusz-Rynek 41, 59-700 Bolesławiec), in person or by post, by 31 December 2016 (the postmark date is decisive). The winner or winners will be selected by a panel consisting of representatives of the university’s academic and teaching staff (3 people) and Bolesławiec City Hall (2 people). Honorees will receive certificates and cash prizes:

  • 1st prize – PLN 3,000
  • 2nd prize – PLN 2,000
  • 3rd prize – PLN 1,000.

Supervisors of the winning theses will receive certificates and cash prizes of PLN 1,000 (net).

The panel has the right to make a different distribution of the prizes. The winning competition theses may be published at the expense of Bolesławiec City Hall (or organizational units of the Municipality of Bolesławiec) and widely disseminated. Universities represented by the competition winners will receive preference when applying for the opportunity to organize student internships at Bolesławiec City Hall. The competition will be decided by 31 January 2017. (If the submission period for the 10th edition of the competition is extended, the competition will be decided by 31 January 2018.)
