On November 25, the first meeting concerning the establishment of a city-county team for education reform was held at the Bolesławiec County Office. The meeting was attended by the mayor of Bolesławiec Piotr Roman, deputy mayors Iwona Mandżuk-Dudek and Kornel Filipowicz, city secretary Jerzy Zieliński, as well as county head Karol Stasik, deputy county head Tomasz Gabrysiak and County secretary Radosław Palczewski.
The purpose of establishing the city-county team for education reform is—as stated on the city office’s website—“to optimize the use of school facilities following the introduction of the education reform and address the employment of teaching staff in order to ensure jobs.”
The team, headed by Deputy County Head T. Gabrysiak and Deputy Mayor K. Filipowicz, is open in nature; other municipalities from Bolesławiec County may join it.
