The matter was reported to us by a reader from Kilińskiego Street in Bolesławiec.
– A man rang the doorbell. He placed a wafer in my hand. It was fully packaged, but without the greetings that parish priests usually include. When I asked him whether he was from the parish council, he answered that he was. He rang one neighbor’s bell, then another’s; both gave him money. He took the cash, hurried away and moved on. I called the parish priest and found out that they were not distributing them yet, and that these were impostors – our reader complains.
– Soon it will turn out that people will no longer buy or want consecrated wafers, because they will already have these ones – adds the woman from Bolesławiec.
What do you think about the wafer sellers? Do they have the right to do this? Should only priests and the church sell them?
