The Bolesławiec District Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation on 24 November into the removal (between 2008 and October 2016) of products located in the Sorting and Packing Department of the Bolesławiec Ceramic Works, weighing almost 19 tonnes and worth more than PLN 507,000, as well as ceramic tableware semi-finished products and ceramic pots weighing... 70.5 t and worth PLN 544,020.40, which caused the company total damage amounting to PLN 1,051,189.40.
The investigation was launched on the basis of a report filed by the current management board of ZC concerning the possibility that a crime had been committed. Measures are currently being taken to secure the documentation necessary to clarify all the circumstances of the case and to interview people with relevant knowledge.
This type of crime carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
