The incident took place on November 18 on Wolności Street in Jelenia Góra. Police officers stopped a 61-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra driving a VW Transporter for a roadside check. In the vehicle, officers found 100,000 cigarettes without tax excise stamps. Moreover, more than 43 kg of cut tobacco, 7 liters of liquid smelling of alcohol and a portion of marijuana were found in the suspect's apartment. The State Treasury's preliminary losses were estimated at approximately PLN 116,000.

Police are currently clarifying the details of the case, including where the seized goods came from and who they were intended for. The detained 61-year-old faces up to three years in prison.
