On Sunday, 13 November, traffic police officers noticed a vehicle travelling at high speed on Małomicka Street in Lubin. The Volkswagen driver overtook another car just before a pedestrian crossing. The officers gave him a clear signal to stop. Instead, he sped up and began to flee.

The officers gave chase. For several kilometres, the driver tried to avoid being stopped by taking side roads. In this way, he attempted to lose the officers pursuing him. Another patrol set up a roadblock on the Lubin–Ścinawa route, preventing the road offender from driving any farther.

The man was arrested. It turned out that the 27-year-old resident of Lubin municipality had fled from the police because he did not have a driving licence. He now faces a fine of up to PLN 5,000 and a driving ban of up to three years.
