Police officers from the Traffic Department of the Legnica police headquarters were on duty in Chojnów. There, they noticed that the driver of a passing Audi A4 was not wearing a seat belt. They decided to stop the vehicle for a routine inspection. The 18-year-old driver not only failed to stop, but also began to flee.
During the police chase, the Audi repeatedly cut off the officers, preventing them from overtaking it. The pursuit ended in Jerzmanowice, when the teenager drove into the fence of one of the properties. Four people were traveling in the vehicle.
It turned out that the resident of Chojnów was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. What is more, it emerged that he did not have a driving licence. The 18-year-old was arrested. He now faces up to eight years in prison.
