What could such a coalition mean for county residents? Let us hope that the new team will find it easier to reach an agreement on road maintenance and education, issues frequently mentioned by Piotr Roman, who advocated a city with county rights. Perhaps the special-needs school will finally receive concrete assistance rather than mere promises?

How will the rejection of the advances from PiS and Ziemia Bolesławiecka, as well as the PSL—angered by losing the deputy county executive’s position—affect Piotr Roman in the next elections? For now, PiS boycotted the unveiling of the Smolensk memorial plaque in “revenge,” while Ziemia is picking on the county executive’s fingerprint. So we can probably expect other forms of resistance.

One thing is certain: Stanisław „Pancerny” Chwojnicki cannot be defeated or removed from the highly paid position of Salaried Member of the Board.

Our information about the composition of the county board and the most important positions has been confirmed. Karol Stasik (Platforma Samorządowa PB) became county executive; Tomasz Gabrysiak became deputy county executive (Gospodarze w Powiecie Bolesławieckim); Stanisław Chwojnicki remained Salaried Member of the Board (SLD), while independent councillors Zbigniew Mitera and Jan Kozak became Members of the Board. Presidium of the County Council: Ryszard Kawka – Chairperson of the County Council, Józef Król – First Deputy Chairperson of the County Council, Michał Bojanowski – Second Deputy Chairperson of the County Council.
