The June session of the Bolesławiec County Council is under way. The topic of Szpital św. Łukasza has returned. The Bolesławiec county head Tomasz Gabrysiak said that he had contacted the Lower Silesian Provincial Branch of the National Health Fund in Wrocław to request information on whether the National Health Fund had conducted—between 2023 and the present—audit concerning the provision of outpatient specialist care by Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej w Bolesławcu, particularly regarding the proper provision and settlement of services and compliance of their delivery with the terms of contracts concluded with the National Health Fund.
He added that, on behalf of the Bolesławiec County Board, he had twice asked the director Kamil Barczyk to provide explanations. In both cases, the director provided them.
The Board, the county head continued, also commissioned an inspection of funds provided by Bolesławiec County for investment projects on the hospital premises. – The inspection was carried out by our Audit Office in cooperation with the Public Procurement Department of the County Office in Bolesławiec. It has been completed. The report was presented to the Board. No irregularities were found regarding the expenditure of funds provided by Bolesławiec County – T. Gabrysiak explained. – At the same time, along with his explanations, the director submitted two opinions from external law firms concerning an assessment of the operation of outpatient specialist care.
The complete documentation was also submitted by the County Board to an external law firm. The final conclusions are expected in two to three weeks. We will return to the topic.
